Working Principle
Volume Change of the Meshing Space: The screw pump is composed of a driving screw and driven screws, which mesh with each other. When the driving screw rotates, it drives the driven screws to rotate synchronously, forming sealed spaces at the meshing points of the screws. As the screws rotate, these sealed spaces move axially from the suction end to the discharge end, and the volume of the spaces gradually decreases, so that the fuel is sucked in from the suction end, pressurized, and then discharged from the discharge end.
Sealing and Conveying: The spiral shape of the screws and the meshing clearance between them play a sealing role, preventing the fuel from flowing back in the pump and ensuring that the fuel can be stably conveyed under a certain pressure.
Structural Features
Screw Structure: Generally, a three-screw structure is adopted, including one driving screw and two driven screws. The driving screw is usually a convex screw, and the driven screws are concave screws. Their spiral surfaces mesh with each other to form a sealed chamber.
Pump Body and Bearings: The pump body is usually made of cast iron or cast steel, which has good strength and sealing performance. The bearings are used to support the screws and ensure the stable rotation of the screws. According to the characteristics of the conveyed medium and the working conditions, rolling bearings or sliding bearings can be selected.

Maintenance Key Points
Regularly Check the Sealing Elements: The sealing elements are key components to prevent fuel leakage. The wear condition of the sealing elements needs to be checked regularly. If the sealing elements are found to be aged or damaged, they should be replaced in a timely manner.
Keep the Oil Clean: The impurities in the fuel will accelerate the wear of the screws and bearings and affect the performance and service life of the pump. Therefore, the fuel filter should be replaced regularly to prevent impurities from entering the pump.
Check the Wear of the Bearings and Screws: Regularly check the wear condition of the bearings and screws. If serious wear is found, the relevant components should be replaced in a timely manner to ensure the normal operation of the pump.
