The following precautions are given when installing, using and maintaining the cam rotor syrup pump:

Regarding Installation
Select an Appropriate Location: Install it in a place that is dry, well-ventilated, and convenient for operation and maintenance, and leave enough space around it. Keep it away from environments with high temperature, humidity, and corrosive gases. For example, it cannot be installed in a boiler room, a damp basement, etc.
Connect Pipes Correctly: The inlet and outlet pipes should be firmly connected and there should be no leakage. The diameter of the pipes should match the inlet and outlet diameters of the pump. Use stainless steel or food-grade plastic pipes. The pipes should be well-supported. For example, fix them with pipe racks to avoid the weight of the pipes pressing on the pump body.
Install a Filter: Install a suitable filter at the inlet of the pump to prevent impurities and particles in the syrup from entering the pump body. Select the filter accuracy according to the quality of the syrup and the requirements of the pump. For example, a filter with about 100 meshes can be used when transporting ordinary syrup.

Regarding Usage
Inspection Before Startup: Check whether the components of the pump are in good condition and whether all the valves on the inlet and outlet pipelines are fully open. Ensure that the pump cavity is filled with liquid materials and check whether the oil level in the gearbox is normal. Open all the inlet and outlet valves of the pipeline. When the medium flows into the cavity, turn the pump by hand. If there is no abnormality, jog it first. After confirming that the rotation direction of the pump and the flow of the medium are normal, then run it officially. If the pump has a water-cooled mechanical seal, turn on the cooling water first and then start the pump.
Operation During Running: Pay attention to observing whether parameters such as the pressure and flow rate of the pump are stable and normal. Listen to the running sound of the pump and check whether there is any leakage at the connection between the pump body and the pipeline. Do not use the valve of the inlet pipeline to adjust the flow rate, and it is strictly prohibited to close all the inlet and outlet valves.
Shutdown Operation: When stopping the pump, close the inlet and outlet valves first. For materials that are easy to condense, discharge and clean them. After the pump has been out of use for a long time, before starting it again, turn the coupling by hand first to check whether there is any resistance, foreign matter, and friction sound.

Regarding Maintenance and Upkeep
Regular Inspection: Check whether there is any looseness at the joints of the pump and the pipeline, and turn it manually to see if it is flexible. Check whether there is any leakage in the seals. If there is leakage, stop the machine in time for maintenance. If repair is hopeless, replace it with a new part. Check the wear condition of components such as the cam rotors, and replace the components with serious wear.
Cleaning and Maintenance: After each shutdown, select an appropriate cleaning agent to clean the pump according to the nature of the transported materials, and then clean it with clean water once. Regularly clean the dust, oil stains, and syrup stains on the surface of the pump body to keep the surrounding environment clean.
Replace Vulnerable Parts: According to the usage situation of the pump and the manufacturer's suggestions, regularly replace vulnerable parts such as seals and bearings. For example, when the seals are aged and worn, it will affect the sealing effect, and they should be replaced in a timely manner.
Maintenance of Lubricated Parts: Maintain good lubrication conditions for transmission gears, rolling bearings, etc. Always pay attention to the oil level in the gearbox to ensure that the oil quality is pure and clean. Replace the oil regularly (every six months or once a year).
Maintenance for Long-term Shutdown: If the pump is out of use for a long time, disassemble the entire pump, dry off the moisture, apply grease to the rotating parts and joints, assemble it, and store it properly.
