The working principles of hawthorn cake filling machines mainly include the following types:


Working Principle of Atmospheric Pressure Filling Machines
Under the influence of its own gravity, the hawthorn cake material flows from the storage container into the packaging container below. This type of filling machine usually has two filling methods: timing filling and fixed-volume filling.


Timing Filling: The filling volume is controlled by setting the filling time. When the set time is reached, the filling valve closes and the filling stops. For example, in the production of small cups of hawthorn cake, if the weight of each cup of hawthorn cake is required to be relatively fixed, the appropriate filling time can be determined through multiple tests to ensure that the filling volume of each cup is basically the same.


Fixed-Volume Filling: It uses a metering device to ensure that the volume of the hawthorn cake filled each time reaches the set value, thereby ensuring the accuracy of the filling volume. For example, in the filling of some large hawthorn cake packaging barrels, using a filling machine based on the fixed-volume filling principle can quickly and accurately complete the filling task.


Working Principle of Piston Filling Machines
The piston filling machine drives the piston to make a reciprocating motion in the cylinder through the air cylinder.
When the piston moves upward, the material is sucked into the cavity below the piston from the inlet; when the piston moves downward, the material in the cavity is squeezed out and flows into the packaging container through the filling head. By adjusting the stroke of the piston, the amount of material filled each time can be precisely controlled. For example, in the production of small packages of hawthorn cake that require high-precision filling, the piston filling machine can well meet the requirements of filling accuracy and ensure that the weight error of each bag of hawthorn cake is within a very small range.


Working Principle of Peristaltic Pump Filling Machines
The working principle of the peristaltic pump filling machine is to rely on the rollers to alternately squeeze the elastic conveying hose to achieve the conveyance and filling of the material.
When the rollers rotate, they squeeze the hose to form a negative pressure inside the hose, sucking the hawthorn cake material into the hose; as the rollers continue to rotate, they squeeze another part of the hose, pushing the material forward and squeezing it out from the filling port to complete the filling. The advantage of this type of filling machine is that it has high filling accuracy, is easy to clean and change the material, and is suitable for filling hawthorn cake materials containing small particles, which can effectively avoid particle blockage in the filling pipeline.


Working Principle of Servo Rotor Pump Filling Machines
The servo motor drives the rotor to make an eccentric rotation movement in the pump cavity, causing the volume of the pump cavity to change periodically.
When the rotor rotates, the volume of the suction cavity gradually increases, forming a negative pressure, sucking the hawthorn cake material into the pump cavity; as the rotor continues to rotate, the material is brought to the discharge cavity, and the volume of the discharge cavity gradually decreases, squeezing the material out of the pump cavity and injecting it into the packaging container through the filling pipeline and the filling head. Its advantages are high filling accuracy, fast speed, strong material adaptability, being able to smoothly convey hawthorn cake materials containing soft particles, and being able to precisely control the filling volume and filling speed as needed.
