Faults and Solutions of Rotary Pump

Publication time:2024-08-11

During use, rotary pumps may encounter some common problems that directly affect their production efficiency. In this case, it is necessary to identify the cause of the problem through troubleshooting, and then find corresponding solutions based on the cause.

The following are common problems with rotary pumps:

The excessive current of the rotary pump may be caused by the following reasons: high outlet pressure. Check whether the outlet pipeline is blocked and whether the outlet valve opening is appropriate; Excessive viscosity of the melt; Poor installation of shaft seal; Wear of shaft or bearing; Motor malfunction.

The rotor pump has no flow, perhaps due to the following reasons: the rotor rotates in the opposite direction. The direction of rotation of the rotor is very important for a rotary pump. If the direction of rotation is reversed, the pump's inlet becomes the outlet, and the outlet becomes the inlet. At this point, there will naturally be no medium flowing out of the outlet. Check the rotation direction and correct the incorrect direction according to the markings on the pump; The valve on the suction or discharge side pipeline is closed. Check if the suction or discharge side pipeline valve is closed. If it is closed, open the valve; There is no medium or low pressure when purchasing. Although the rotary pump has strong self-priming function, it has a certain limit. A low liquid level can also make the rotary pump unable to suck liquid, resulting in no flow of the pump; Anran valve is not tightly sealed; The viscosity is too high, and the pump cannot bite the material.

The sudden shutdown of the rotary pump may be caused by the following reasons: power outage; Motor overload protection; Coupling damage; Excessive export pressure, interlocking reaction; Abnormal biting inside the pump; The shaft and bearing are stuck due to adhesion.

The insufficient flow of the rotary pump may be caused by the following reasons: low inlet pressure. Check the incoming pipeline to ensure that the pressure meets the regulatory requirements, otherwise cavitation may occur; Entrance pipeline blockage; The rotor is severely worn and there is leakage; Anran valve issue. Should check if the Anran valve is not tightly sealed; Low rotational speed; The viscosity is too low. The working range of the pump needs to be checked, and if necessary, the selection should be made from scratch.

The rotor pump has abnormal oscillation noise, which may be caused by the following reasons: excessive coupling pain or poor smoothness; There is gas inside the pump; Motor malfunction; Abnormal gearbox; Poor installation at the shaft seal; Shaft deformation or wear.
