From the perspective of maintenance and upkeep of circular arc gear pumps, we need to first discuss the following points.

1. During use, it is strictly prohibited to dilute the gear oil with diesel or other substances, and do not bake the rear axle or transmission due to affecting winter starting, in order to prevent serious deterioration of the gear oil. If this situation occurs, low viscosity multi-stage gear oil should be used instead.

2. Do not confuse the SAE classification numbers of engine oil and circular arc gear pumps. In the calculation standard, to avoid confusion, it is stipulated that high-grade grades are used for gear oil and low-grade grades are used for engine lubricating oil. But for old gear grades, the grading number is lower. It should be noted that there is no correlation between the viscosity grade of gear oil and engine oil, and the same model cannot be used interchangeably. Never use gear oil as engine oil, otherwise serious accidents such as tile burning, cylinder sticking, and sintered piston crown may occur in the engine.

3. Reasonable use of circular arc gear pumps is beneficial for gear maintenance and upkeep. The service life of gear oil is relatively long. If using single-stage oil, different viscosity grades should be used during seasonal maintenance. If the old oil released has not reached the oil change deadline, it can be used in the car when changing the oil again. Old oil should be properly stored to prevent contamination from moisture, mechanical impurities, and waste oil.

4. Change the oil at the appropriate time. New oil should be used according to the prescribed oil change indicators. If there is no oil quality analysis method, the oil can be changed within the prescribed period. The recommended oil change period for automobile manufacturers is 30000-48000 kilometers. When changing the oil, the old oil should be released while it is hot, and the gears and gearbox should be cleaned before adding new oil. When refueling, precautions should be taken to prevent moisture and impurities from entering.

5. The refueling amount should be appropriate. The oil level should be appropriate, neither too much nor too little. Excessive amount not only increases oil stirring resistance and fuel consumption, but also may cause gear oil to mix into the brake drum through the rear axle housing (if the seal is poor), resulting in brake failure; Insufficient lubrication can lead to poor lubrication, high temperature, accelerated gear wear, and adverse effects on gear maintenance. The gear oil level should generally be level with the lower edge of the gearbox oil filling port, and each gear oil tank should be checked regularly for leaks, and all oil seals and gaskets should be kept intact.
