Skills and maintenance precautions for using circular arc gear pumps

Circular arc gear pump is a type of gear pump made of stainless steel material, specifically a circular arc gear pump with acid and wear resistance functions. It is mainly used in low flow, high head water systems, such as drinking water supply systems, pressure boiler water supply systems, as well as flushing, spraying and other processes in industries such as medicine, food, fine chemicals, and papermaking.

The standards and criteria for selecting circular arc gear pumps are based on good performance and standards, which can meet the requirements and performance of the industry, fully demonstrate good contribution and performance value, and make important contributions in the transportation of liquids, ensuring the contribution during transportation. The selection criteria for circular arc pumps should be considered from five aspects based on the process flow, water supply and drainage requirements, including liquid delivery capacity, device head, liquid properties, pipeline layout, and operating conditions.

The circular arc gear pump series mainly consists of gears, shafts, pump bodies, valves, shaft end seals, and other components. The gears have strong hardness and strength after heat treatment and are installed together with the shaft in a replaceable shaft sleeve for operation. The lubrication of all parts inside the pump is automatically achieved through the use of the conveying medium during pump operation. There are well-designed oil discharge and return grooves inside the pump, which reduce the torque force borne by the gears during operation, resulting in low bearing load, minimal wear, and high pump efficiency.

1. When stopping the use of the circular arc gear pump, first close the gate valve. Pressure gauge, then stop the motor.

2. When using the circular arc gear pump in the cold winter season, after parking, it is necessary to unscrew the drain plug at the lower part of the pump body to drain the medium completely. Prevent frost cracking.

3. Regularly check the wear of the shaft sleeve, and replace it promptly if there is significant wear.

4. During the operation of the circular arc pump, the bearing temperature should not exceed 35C of the ambient temperature, and the high temperature should not exceed 80C.

5. Check for any looseness in the pipeline and joints, and manually rotate the gear pump to see if it is flexible.

6. Add bearing lubricating oil into the bearing body, and observe that the oil level is at the centerline of the oil gauge. Lubricating oil should be replaced or replenished in a timely manner.

7. Unscrew the water inlet plug of the gear pump body and inject water (or slurry).

8. Close the gate valve, outlet pressure gauge, and inlet vacuum gauge of the water outlet pipeline.

9. Tap the motor and try to see if the motor direction is correct.

10. Start the motor, and when the gear pump is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet vacuum pump to see if they display the appropriate pressure. Then gradually open the gate valve and check the motor load condition.

11. Try to keep the flow rate and head of the circular arc gear pump within the range indicated on the label, in order to ensure that the circular arc gear pump operates at the designated point and achieve significant energy-saving effects.

12. If any abnormal sound is found in the circular arc gear pump, it should be stopped immediately to check the cause.

13. The circular arc gear pump should change the lubricating oil after 100 hours of operation within a month, and then change the oil every 500 hours thereafter.

14. Regularly adjust the packing gland to ensure normal dripping inside the packing chamber (preferably in droplets).
