Factors affecting the operation of heat transfer oil pumps and common forms of sealing

Publication time:2024-08-05

As the usage time increases, the heat transfer oil pump may experience malfunctions such as insufficient or even no oil pumping, mainly due to excessive wear and tear on the relevant parts. The wear parts of energy-saving pumps mainly include the active shaft and liner, the passive impeller center hole and shaft pin, the pump housing cavity and impeller, the impeller end face and pump cover, etc.

When the main technical indicators of the lubricating oil pump do not meet the requirements after wear and tear, it should be disassembled and decomposed to identify the wear area and degree, and corresponding measures should be taken to repair it.

Due to the use of heat transfer oil pumps for transporting liquids with high temperatures, there are requirements for the corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance of seals and bearings. Both mechanical seals and packing seals have good thermal adaptability, and mechanical seals are made of hard alloy materials. These are the conditions that ensure the good operation of the heat transfer oil pump.

The heat transfer oil pump has advanced technology, high efficiency, long-term stable operation without leakage in hot state, no additional cooling system, and reliable use. It has been widely used in China's heat transfer heating system and has entered various industrial fields such as petroleum, chemical, rubber, plastic, pharmaceutical, textile, printing and dyeing, road construction, food, etc. It is mainly used to transport weakly corrosive high-temperature liquids without solid particles. The operating temperature is ≤ 380 ℃, making it an ideal hot oil circulation pump.

It is one's responsibility to protect the thermal oil pump and its associated equipment. Various factors that affect the operation of the pump should be regularly checked, and the service life of the pump can be greatly shortened due to the operator's carelessness.

To ensure the normal and continuous operation of the pump, daily inspection and maintenance should be carried out as a system. The occurrence of faults can have an impact on production, so daily inspections are indispensable and cannot be ignored.

2. There is some abnormal phenomenon during the operation of the pump, and it seems that the equipment is still running. But in most cases, there are already signs of accidents, and early detection of abnormal signs is an important factor in preventing accidents from happening. To detect abnormalities early, it is necessary to have a good understanding of the normal operation and make detailed records of inspections, maintenance, etc. This basic information is not only essential for checking faults, but also helpful for daily maintenance and early detection of abnormal phenomena.

In recent years, the operating environment of pumps has greatly improved, but there are still a considerable number of pumps operating in poor environmental conditions. Whether the operating environment is good or bad, regular cleaning should be carried out to improve the environment and maintain the cleanliness of the pump and its ancillary equipment, especially for pumps operating in poor environmental conditions.

When the pump is operating normally, even if it has a high degree of automation and does not require monitoring, at least one or two inspections should be carried out per shift. As mentioned earlier, this is one of the important tasks for early detection of abnormal phenomena. In addition, regular inspections should be carried out as needed. The daily inspection contents are shown in the table, and for some pumps, appropriate choices can be made according to the user manual.
