Working principle of magnetic gear pump

Publication time:2024-07-19

Magnetic gear pump is a type of positive displacement gear pump that achieves non-contact torque transmission through magnetic actuators, replacing dynamic seals with static seals to achieve complete leak free operation. Magnetic gear pumps are suitable for industries such as petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, smelting, electroplating, environmental protection, food, and national defense. They are ideal equipment for transporting flammable, explosive, volatile, toxic, rare and valuable liquids, as well as various corrosive liquids. Suitable for conveying fluids with certain lubricity that do not contain solid particles and fibers in various industry processes. For corrosive or high hygiene requirements, stainless steel gear pumps can be used. The MCB series magnetic drive gear pump has three types: MKCB (involute tooth) type, MYCB (circular arc tooth) type, and MNCB (pendulum tooth) type. Their different structural configurations can be used for conveying media of various properties and viscosities. Gear pump is a rotary volumetric pump that relies on the change and movement of the working volume formed between the pump body and the meshing gear to transport liquid or increase its pressure. Two enclosed spaces are composed of two gears, a pump body, and front and rear covers. When the gears rotate, the volume of the space on the disengagement side of the gears increases from small to large, forming a vacuum that sucks in the liquid. The volume of the space on the meshing side of the gears decreases from large to small, and the liquid is squeezed into the pipeline. The suction chamber and the discharge chamber are separated by the meshing line of two gears. The pressure at the discharge port of a gear pump depends entirely on the magnitude of the resistance at the pump outlet.
